Mealtimes can be challenging for children who have experienced stress or trauma. This interactive workshop explores how trauma can influence nutrition, principles of trauma-informed nutrition, and how care providers can create positive, supportive mealtime experiences. Topics include eating competence, positive mealtime environments, responding to common feeding challenges, neutral food language, and the hierarchy of food needs. Gain practical strategies and evidence-informed tools to help children develop a healthy relationship with food and feel safe, valued and supported at mealtimes.
